Randall Dean Stevenson

January 10, 1953 — November 6, 2024

Randall Dean Stevenson, 71, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on January 10, 1953, in Sedalia, the son of Everett E. and Mary E. (Swope) Stevenson, both of whom preceded him in death.

Randy, as he was known to friends and family, was a proud graduate of Smithton High School, class of 1972. He spent much of his life working for his family's business, Stevenson Tractor Company, where he began as a tractor mechanic and paint technician. He later went on to work for Tyson Foods and retired in 2010 from Hayes Wheels, after many years of dedicated service. Throughout his life, Randy was a passionate Ford enthusiast and enjoyed attending auctions, flea markets, and coin shows, where he added to his beloved collections of coins and Currier & Ives dishes.

Randy's greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family. He treasured the memories made during camping trips with his children, and he was especially proud of his grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness.

Randy is survived by his three children: two daughters, Christy Cunningham and her husband Jason of Sedalia, and Jennifer Cramer and her husband Robert of Smithton; a son, Bryan Stevenson and his wife Rian of Sedalia; and ten grandchildren: Allison, Cooper, Corie, Ty, Sophia, Corbin, Haven, Trenton, Harlee, and Carlee. He is also survived by five siblings: LeRoy Stevenson and his wife Judy of Smithton, Larry Stevenson and his wife Mary Jo of Sedalia, Linda Reid and her husband Jim of Sedalia, Glenda Stevenson of Nebraska, and Jerry Stevenson of Springfield, Missouri. In addition, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with pastor Jason Veale officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia.

Pallbearers will include Robert Cramer, Bryan Stevenson, Christy Cunningham, Jennifer Cramer, Ryan Reid, and Rian Stevenson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
