Obituary For Raina L. Milks

Raina Lou Milks, 65 of Sedalia, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Rest Haven Convalescent Home, Sedalia, MO.

Mrs. Raina (Williams) Milks, daughter of the late John Williams and June (Evans) Williams was born January 28, 1955 in Yankton South Dakota.

She attended the grammar school at Anderson School House and Mark Twain Elementary of Sedalia, MO and was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a degree in psychology. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church and later New Hope Baptist where she was a dedicated member. While at Bethlehem, she played piano and sang in the choir. After Graduation from College she was a youth minister for several local churches.

She was united in marriage to Larry Milks, in February of 1999. The union of Raina and Larry blessed Raina with four children, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She loved each of them more than anything and spending time with her wonderful family.

Raina had a passion for those with special needs. She taught sign language to many. She worked at the sheltered workshop in Sedalia for many years. She had a generous spirit and pleasant personality. Raina was loved by many including the nursing staff that cared for her at Rest Haven. Raina loved being outside tending to her flowers and catching as many sunsets as she possibly could. She quietly departed this life Monday August 3, 2020 at Rest Haven nursing home.

Raina’s charismatic life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Dustin Haidusek, Ashley Haidusek both of Warsaw. MO. , Terra Milks and Larry Ross Jr Milks of Sedalia, MO; sister, Becky (Brad) Schmidt; Jefferson City, MO; brother, Johnny (Pam) Williams, of Rushville, MO. Paul (Cyndi) Williams of Smithton, MO; and Sister Janie (Max) Hedglin; of Jefferson City, MO. Additional devoted family members include ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life and gathering of friends and family, will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church (off of Anderson School Road), Sedalia. Gathering will be held outside at the church, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
