Philip Anthony Ruiz

Philip Anthony Ruiz, 22, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Branson, MO. He was born on October 7, 1996 in McAllen, TX, the son of Irma Granados, who resides in Powell, MO. Philip was born 7 October 1996 in McAllen, TX. Philip grew up in Sedalia, Missouri where he attended elementary school at Heber Hunt and the Sedalia Middle School. He later attended Smith Cotton high school until the 10th grade. Philip was working on completing his GED in Branson MO. Philip worked at a Car Wash facility, he was also proudly helping raise his niece and nephew who he loved and naturally cherished both. Philip truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with his friends who he considered brothers, snacking, and spending time with his best friend Jacob Ruiz. Philip had the strength to carry out his family on his shoulders through the good and worst moments. He had the uncanny ability to reach to people in a deep positive way and that is what he will be remembered for.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Jacob Ruiz, and Joseph Ruiz; a sister, Ana Ruiz; his grandparents Socorro and Jose Rodriguez; and his niece and nephew Kylie and Adryon Ruiz, all of Sedalia.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dan Hankins officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
