Obituary For Peggy Renee Maxey
Peggy Renee Maxey, 64, of Chamois, MO, formerly of Sedalia, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, MO. She was born on July 29, 1955 in Knob Noster, MO, Whiteman Air Force Base the daughter of Max E. Birdsong, who preceded her in death and Jo Ann (McMullin) Birdsong, who resides in Sedalia.
On April 23, 1999 in Holts Summit, MO she was united in marriage to Bill Maxey, who resides of the home.
Peggy was a very talented woman. She had musical and artist abilities. Peggy loved to cook and bake for her family. She loved to sew, read books and take care of her children. Peggy especially loved her husband and the outdoors. She was a great friend to many people.
In addition to her husband Bill and her mother, she is survived by five children, Janie Weeks and her fiance, Jason Young of Overland Park, KS, Zachary Feldman and his companion Colleen Robbins of Columbia, MO, Tiffany Steen and her husband Jacob of Iberia, MO, Kristen Klingler and her husband Cody of Ozark, MO, and Becky Maxey of Chamois, MO; four grandchildren, Joseph Weeks, Kurt Weeks, Maggie Weeks, and Willow Klingler; two brothers, Kelly Birdsong and Daniel Birdsong both of Sedalia; a sister, Kate Smith and her husband Bob of Tibbets, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Max, she was preceded in death by a sister, Candace Williams; her maternal grandparents, John and Alta McMullin; and her paternal grandparents, E.L. and Erma Birdsong.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Church officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time at the chapel.
