Paulette Bennett, 60, of Independence passed away Friday January 19, 2018 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Indepencence, MO. She was born on January 27, 1957 in Sedalia, the daughter of Johnny B. and Alice E. (Matney) Caldwell, who preceded her in death.
Paulette was a student of the Smith-Cotton Class of 1975. She graduated from State Fair Community College with an Associate's Degree in medical coding and billing and then from National American University with a Bachelor's Degree in nursing administration. She worked as a Certified Medical Aid for Waterford Ladies Home in Blue Springs, MO. She was a former member of Sedalia Moose Lodge BPOE #1494 and a faithful follower of Joel Osteen. She enjoyed playing bingo, crafting, going to garage sales, gardening, and especially enjoyed great food and good company of family and friends. She cherished her time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Amy Woodward (Donney) of Nixa, MO, Heather Bennett (Charles) of Sedalia, and Kallie Bennett of Independence, MO; three grandchildren, Drew, Max, and Patience Jade; a sister, Lucy Webster (David) of Smithton; her two dogs, Buck and Ninja; her life long best friend, Robin Irwin of Independence, MO; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Jean Stewart and Susie Crouch.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday January 27, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Minister Erick D. Bowen officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the chapel.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Charles Nichols, Matthew Walter, Bill Fleeger, Mark Stockstill, Chris Taylor, John William Weathers, Patrick Hart, and Jerry Lee Short, Jr.
Honorary bearers will be Penny Nichols, William Joseph Hunt, Chris Weathers, Donney Woodward, Ron Dollinger, and Roy Bennett.
Memorial contributions may be made to Animals Best Friends in Independence, MO in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
All are invited to a celebration of Paulette's 61st birthday at 5p.m. Saturday at the Sedalia American Legion Hall for one last party.
