Paul Richard Horne Sr., 73, of Windsor, MO passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, MO. He was born on December 11, 1946 in Kansas City, MO the son of Paul Edward Horne and Verna Ella Lange, who preceded him in death.
On October 17, 1965 in St Joseph, MO he was united in marriage to Glenda Sue Wilson, who survives of the home.
Besides his wife Glenda, he leaves to cherish, three children, LaRhonda Skeel (Geneva) of Windsor, MO, Paul Richard Horne, Jr. (Jill) of Sedalia and Johnna (Kevin) of Iberia, MO; four grandchildren, Ashley Sanderson, Brett Sanderson (Chantel), Mikayla Welch (Ryan) and Alex Erwin (Kelsey); five great grandchildren, Ragen, Zakkrey, Faith Ann, McKenzie and Kyezer; one sister, Sue Shade (Gordon); one brother, Edward Horne (Val); and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edger Horne and a grandson, Jonathon Erwin.
Paul started working for the MK&T Railroad in 1965 until 1988. He then worked for and retired from the U.P. Railroad in 1998. He never new a stranger, he could strike up a conversation with anyone. Paul led a full life. He spent his retirement helping his friends on their farms, raising a few cows and pigs and loved his dogs. He loved spending time with his family, traveling with his wife and just staying busy.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 7, 2020 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
Burial will be at Knob Noster Cemetery, Knob Noster, MO.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
