Paul Edward "Ed" Keeling 71, of Syracuse passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on August 21, 1946 in Kansas City, MO the son of Paul Richard Keeling and La Veta (Spoonamore) Jones, who preceded him in death.
On November 12, 1981 in Napa, CA, he was united in marriage to Linda L. Robinson, who resides of the home.
Ed served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1969. He worked as an electrician for Douglas Aircraft in San Diego, CA and then for United Airlines in San Francisco, CA for 20 years. In 1987 he and his wife, Linda, moved to Syracuse, MO where he worked on his farm and for the Missouri Department of Correction retiring after 20 years.
In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by two sons, Cleven Keeling of Syracuse and Paul Keeling of California; two daughters, Lindsey Rose Keeling of Syracuse and Pamela Keeling of Nashville, TN; a sister, Idella Gitthens of Osborn, MO.
A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 p.m until 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018. Full military honors being conducted at 4:00 p.m. by the United States Navy and Sedalia VFW Post 2591 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
