Obituary For Paul A. Kirby
Paul A. Kirby, 71, of Sedalia, MO, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 12, 2023. He was born on February 1, 1952, in Sedalia, the son of David F. Kirby and Nancy E. (Pryor) Kirby, who preceded him in death.
Paul was a 1970 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He was a very skilled craftsman who was handy at caning chairs, woodwork, and electrical work. Paul was an antique enthusiast and enjoyed frequenting antique shops. He enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, playing pool, and keeping his yard in meticulous shape. Paul had a curious mind, a vivid imagination, and always had an eye out for the paranormal. He had a big personality, and he never knew a stranger. During the last year of his life, Paul especially loved spending time with his granddaughter.
He is survived by a daughter, Katie Kirby and her husband Matthew Hawk of Sedalia; a granddaughter, Hazel Hawk; ex-wife, Nicki Crase; and companion, Linda Heydt.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Kirby.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brenda Corbett officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
The burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Child Safe of Central Missouri in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
