Obituary For Patty Cooper

Patty Jo Wolkey Cooper, 77, of Sedalia, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia, Missouri. She was born on June 30, 1939 in Sedalia, the daughter of Perry B. and Sarah Margaret (Hertzberg) Wolkey, who preceded her in death.

On November 22, 1965 in, Lincoln, MO, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Leo Cooper, who preceded her in death.

Patty worked as a Certified Nurse Aid for various nursing homes in Sedalia. She was a member of the Central Missouri Singles Club. She enjoyed dancing and collected angel figurines.

She is survived by a sister, Laura Paxton-Monahan (Pat) of Sedalia; seven nieces and nephews; and her companion Dwain Campbell of Versailles, MO.

Besides her husband Kenneth, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Schlobohm ; and a brother, William Henry Wolkey.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Kasey LeClair, Chad Nichol, Rosy Lehmer and Rebecca Thomas.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
