Obituary For Orville Bud Lee Stout
Orville L. "Bud" Stout, 97, of Sedalia, MO passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, at his home in Sedalia. On February 18, 1924, he was born in Sedalia, the son of Harry Herman Stout and Mable (Crum) Stout, who preceded him in death.
In 1941, he was united in marriage to Geneva Ford, who preceded him in death in 1987. On February 14, 1997, he was united in marriage to Marchetta F. Green, who preceded him in death on April 12, 2013.
Bud served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII from 1943 to 1946. He worked for Panhandle Eastern as a Chief Inspector until retiring at 78 years old in 2001. He was a member of the Sedalia VFW Post #2591 and American Legion Post #642. Bud enjoyed traveling all over the world. He liked hunting, fishing, antiquing, scrapping, and going to auctions. Bud especially loved being around his grandkids and playing cards.
Survivors include four daughters, Cookie Heyer of Sedalia, Georgia Pedego, of Sedalia, Katy Graff (David) of Phoenix, AZ, and Jo Colvin (Gene) of Sedalia; two step-daughters, Sandra Kerr of Sedalia and Linda Page (Jerry) of Smithton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and his four-legged sidekick "Poncho" the dog.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Stout; four sisters, Gladys Stout, Ethel Bemer, Goldie Salmons, Sadie Katzinger; and a granddaughter, Muffy Colvin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Jack Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the chapel.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO, with full military honors conducted by the United States Army and Sedalia VFW Post #2591.
Honorary bearers will be Bob Potter, Molly Colvin, Scott Ridgeway, Scott Smith, Poncho Rodriquez, Ed Colvin, Jana Peterson, Wes Graff, Trevor Graff, Jessee Russell, Andrew Colvin, and Caleb Jones.
Instead of flowers and plants, memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

My Sympathy to all of Bud's family. I can still remember when him and Marchetta came to Auctions and he always had a story to tell. I don't remember ever hearing the same one twice. Both very friendly people. I've thought of him over the last few years, but never connected with anyone who knew how he was. Lucy Akeman
