Oda Marie Weller

Oda Marie Weller, 92, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Aberdeen Village Health Care Center in Olathe, KS. She was born on May 4, 1932, in Morrison, MO, the daughter of Emil Boss and Carrie (Walterscheidt) Boss, who preceded her in death.

On November 5, 1960, in Sedalia, MO, she was united in marriage to Daniel J Weller, who preceded her in death on March 14, 2014.

Oda was a proud graduate of Sacred Heart High School Class of 1950. She graduated from the Sedalia Women's Business College. Oda worked for the Sedalia Water Department before having children. After having her children, she owned and operated her in-home daycare for over 35 years. Oda was an avid bowler and Kansas City Royals fan. She loved traveling to tournaments with her bowling team and watching the Royals. Oda especially loved spending time with her family at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Survivors include two children, Michael Weller (Linda) of Lenexa, KS, and Janet Weller (Howard Graham) of Lenexa, KS; two granddaughters, Alexa Weller (Ryan) of Bonner Springs, KS, and Lauren Graham of Overland Park, KS; and a grandson, Jack Graham, of Lenexa, KS; two great-granddaughters, Ari and Juliette; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Oda was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Boss; a sister, Rita Marshall; and a great-granddaughter, Rylee.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Sacred Heart Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, with Father Joe Corel officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with Prayers of the Rosary at 10:45 a.m. at the church.

The burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sedalia, MO, immediately following the Mass.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart School Foundation in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
