Norma Lou Persinger, 88, of Smithton, MO passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at her home. She was born on March 29, 1932 in rural Saline County the daughter of Herndon and Ethel (Eaton) Fenwick, who preceded her in death.
On June 9, 1951, in Harrisonville, AR she was united in marriage to Harvey Lee Persinger, who preceded her in death on June 12, 1980.
Norma enjoyed horse back riding, fishing, camping, cooking, baking, watching car races, playing cards, and especially loved gardening. In her free time she loved spending time with family and reading cookbooks.
Norma is survived by one son, Karl "Kap" Persinger (Mary) of Sedalia; four daughters, Debra Rumsey (Dan) of Smithton, Brenda Arnold (Greg) of Carrollton, Terri Hartley (Kevin) of Kansas City, and Tammy Bryant of Smithton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and a very special four-legged friend, Ginger.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell Eugene Fenwick, Robert Dale Fenwick, and Junior Herndon Fenwick.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gene Page officiating.
Burial will be held at a later date in Trotter Cemetery in rural Carroll County, MO.
