Norma "Sis" Louise Fisher, 90, of Sedalia passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her home. She was born on October 4, 1928 in Otterville, MO the daughter of Herold Ethan and Lula Elizabeth (Edwards) Scott, who preceded her in death.
On July 23, 2006 in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Edgar Lee Fisher, who preceded her in death on September 30, 2011.
She was a 1946 graduate of Smithton High School and former member of Smithton Christian Church. Norma was a member of Parkview Christian Church, Sedalia and also attended Abundant Harvest Church with her granddaughter, Merri. She worked at the Smithton Creamery in the late 40's and early 50's. She also worked at Kresge dime store in downtown Sedalia, volunteered at the Sedalia VFW Post #2591 and was a CNA for many years. She spent most of her life as a homemaker taking care of her children and enjoyed playing bingo, dancing, playing cards, fishing, deer hunting, and cooking for her family and friends. Norma loved working in her gardens, drawing and going to church.
Survivors include three sons, James Hawkins of Warsaw, Clifford (Allen) Hawkins, of Sedalia, and Daniel Hawkins also of Sedalia; a daughter, Merry Schlobohm (Charles) of La Monte; five grandchildren Sabrina, Memory, Rebekah, Merri, Charles; three great grandchildren, Aaron, Connor, and Riley; a great great grandson, Daniel; a sister, Carolyn Estes of Bristol, IN; and a brother, Donald Scott (Ruth) of Iowa.
In addition to her husband Edgar and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Nolton Scott; daughter-in-law, Vicky Hawkins; and two husbands, Charles "Ted" Henderson and Joe Schoen.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Otterville, MO.
Pallbearers will be Charles Schlobohm, David Plue, Tim Wittman, Andrew Wittman, Terry Wittman, and Nathan Wittman.
Honorary bearers will be grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Sedalia VFW Post #2591 in care of the funeral chapel.
