Nicholous Eugene Mettenburg, 46, of Florence, MO passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014. He was born on August 7, 1967 in Kansas City, MO, a son of Howard and Daisy (Corson) Mettenburg.
On May 25, 2002 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Florence, MO he was united in marriage to Christina Miller.
Nicholous was a logger, farmer, and worked part time as a police officer for the city of California, MO. He loved hunting and fishing, but most importantly he loved spending time reading the Word of God and walking with the Lord. He enjoyed his time with his family and being outside in the woods. Nicholous was a member of New Beginnings Assembly of God Church, California, MO.
Besides his father and wife, he is survived by three children, Rachelle Mettenburg, Nathan Mettenburg, and Audrey Mettenburg, all of the home; and one sister, Elizabeth Holman and her husband Bill of Cole Camp.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Charles Mettenburg.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:30 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the family home in Florence, MO with Pastor Thomas Medlin officiating, assisted by Phillip Munnerlyn, Dale Embry, and Joshua Schuck.
