Nellie Welch

Nellie Miranda Welch, 58, of Sedalia passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her home. She was born on February 20, 1958 in Caloocan, Manilla Philippines, the daughter of Romulo Miranda, who preceded her in death, and Antonina Coronel, who resides in Manilla Philippines.

On July 3, 1999 in Marshall, MO, she was united in marriage to Ed Welch, Sr., who resides of the home.

Nellie was a teacher at the Harris Center in Sedalia where she loved taking care of her children.

Besides her husband Ed, she is also survived by a stepson, J.R., and a stepdaughter, Ashley; a cousin, Arlene German of Carrollton, MO; a mother-in-law, Veronica and husband Don; five brothers-in-law, John, Joey, Mike, Harold and Jerald; four sisters-in-law, Karla, Teresa, Lari, and Judy; three brothers and one sister in the Philippines.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Duane Duchesne officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
