Obituary For Nellie Elizabeth Rodewald

Nellie Elizabeth Rodewald, 75, of Tomball, TX passed away September 28, 2021 at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Houston, TX. She was born on October 23, 1945 in Sedalia, MO the daughter of George Ardell Buchholz and Agnes Elizabeth (Reichart) Buchholz, who preceded her in death.

On October 7, 1963 in Clinton, MO, she was united in marriage to Stephen Rodewald, who survives of the home.

Nellie and her husband, Steve owned and operated the Cafe in Green Ridge, early in their marriage. They also owned a Nascar store and auto detail business in Sedalia. She worked for Neet products and at JCPenneys for 17 years, first in Sedalia and then in Cypress, TX. In Nellie's free time she liked to cook and enjoyed to oil paint. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Nellie is survived by two sons, Steve Rodewald (Angela) of Lees Summit, MO and Chris Rodewald (Sandra) of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Emily Hails(John David), Elizabeth Darby (Brandon), Chaney Rodewald, Taylor Rodewald (Elise), and Trevor Rodewald; four great grandchildren, Tallon Hails, River Hails, Kingston Darby and Sterling Darby; several nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.

In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by one brother, George Albert Buchholz and her infant sister, Gloria Buchholz.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Jeremy Freeman, officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Rodewald, Trevor Rodewald, John David Hails, Brandon Darby, Benjamin Buchholz, Jeff Buchholz.

Honorary bearers will be Emily Hails, Elizabeth Darby, Chaney Rodewald, Tallon Hails, River Hails, Kingston Darby, Sterling Darby.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cancercare Co-payment Assistance Foundation, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
