Nancy Lea Mccroskey

Nancy Lea McCroskey, 67, of Sedalia, MO passed away Monday, October 11, 2021, at her home. She was born on November 6, 1953 in Sedalia, the daughter of Charles W. and Esther Oneita Pearl (Mitchell) Smethers, who preceded her in death.

Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church, Sedalia. She worked at Waterloo Industries and Dickie-Doo-BBQ in Sedalia. Nancy enjoyed playing softball and loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. She especially loved her family, being a grandma, and was known as "Mom" by all of her childrens friends.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis Edwards (Kim) and Wade McCroskey both of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Rian (Bryan), Treigh, and Kaylea; five great grandchildren, Ty, Haven, Sophia, Harlee, and Trace; four siblings, Andra Coulson (Larry) of Lee's Summit, MO, Lynda Alcorn (Clayton) of Sedalia, Mike Smethers (Sherry) of Sedalia, and Marilyn Rimmer (Dave) of Marshall, MO.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Casi Edwards.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Sedalia, with Pastor Jason McCray, officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
