Nancy Kay Paxton, 75, of Cole Camp, MO, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp. She was born on February 29, 1948, in Bahner, MO, the daughter of Alphonse John Seifner and Florence Anna Seifner, who preceded her in death.
Nancy grew up working on her parent's farm outside of Smithton. She milked morning and evening. She enjoyed deer hunting, and her favorite place to be was on the combine. She graduated from Smithton High School. After high school, she worked at Town and Country Shoe Factory as a supervisor in the packing department. Then she cleaned doctors' offices, babysat, and was a stay-at-home mom until she returned to work as a lead on the subway line at Duke Manufacturing. She enjoyed volunteering at the hospital, playing cards and marbles on Friday nights, rummy with her granddaughter, and loved going to Chad's sporting events, cowbell in tow. She loved gardening, especially her rose bushes. She loved the outdoors, mowing, canning, and baking. She made the biggest cinnamon rolls in the county. She loved everything Jason Aldean. Her friend from the home got to take her to see him live in concert this last October. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Lorie Cuba; her son, Chad Paxton; six grandchildren, Nicole Baker, Carson Eaton, Ashton Cuba, Kaleb Eaton, Connor Paxton, and Kohen Paxton; two great-grandchildren, Isaac Baker, Lydia Baker; two nieces, Cindy Seifner, and Tina Seifner; and a nephew, Dennis Seifner.
Besides her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Seifner, and two sisters.
