Obituary For Mikhail Zalozh
Mikhail K. Zalozh, 77, of Sedalia, MO passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on December 16, 1943 in Ozernoe Odessa, Ukraine the son of Harlampiy Zalozh and Evgneiya (Uzun) Zalozh, who preceded him in death.
On September 27, 1970 in Izmail, Ukraine, he was united in marriage to Nadezhda Georgiyeva, who resides in the home.
Mikhail was an intelligent and energetic person since youth. He always strived to better himself academically, physically, and spiritually. After having served four years in the USSR military, destiny came unexpectedly when he learned about Jesus Christ through his older sister. He dedicated his life to Jesus and shortly thereafter met the love of his life, Nadezhda Giorgieva. God’s plan beautifully unfolded as their union came to fruition on September 27, 1970. As the years went by, Mikhail and Nadezhda were blessed with 11 amazing children. Through life’s ups and downs, Mikhail set a Christ-like example to his children by selflessly providing for his family and teaching them about the relentless love of Christ, all while working full time as a First Responder. He was an outstanding husband to his wife, treating her with utmost respect and gentleness until the moment he passed. He managed to move his entire family to the United States in January of 1992 in hopes of a promising future for his descendants. He then relocated most of the family to Missouri, where he took on a rural way of life. He spent lots of time gardening and raising animals on his farm with his grandchildren. He taught them everything he knew about homesteading and self-sustainability. He loved pets and had many different animals throughout his life. He adored all 32 of his grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, always supporting their interests and hobbies while teaching them the importance of bilingualism and biliteracy. Aside from being an excellent family man, Mikhail also positively impacted anyone he came across. He was a member of Word of Life Evangelical Church in Sedalia. His faith molded him into a great friend and mentor. He put others’ needs ahead of his own and jumped at any opportunity to be of assistance. He was hard-working and never took a day off. His children oftentimes talked him into taking a vacation. He was in great physical shape and worked out until the moment he passed. He was simply a golden-hearted person and showed kindness to all. He is survived by his wife and 11 children: Lily, Zhanna, Yelena, Alex, Tatiana, Natasha, Gennadiy, Vladimir, Victor, Michael, and Olga (and their spouses).
He was the epitome of a true Christian. He will be greatly missed by many. His family finds comfort in knowing that they will be reunited with him again, in heaven, where there is no sorrow, no pain, and no suffering.
Prayer service will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Word of Life Church, Sedalia.
