Michael Wayne Adams

Michael Wayne Adams, 55, of Sedalia passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at his home in Sedalia, MO. He was born on February 12, 1965 in Boonville, MO the son of Jerry Lee and Kay (Tomlinson) Adams, who reside in Tipton, MO.

On February 13, 2010 in Weston, MO he was united in marriage to Ann Catherine Rees, who resides in the home.

Mike was a lineman for Central Missouri Electric Coop in Sedalia for over 30 years. He was a founding member of Dirt Road Addiction Band with whom he played rhythm guitar. Mike loved to fish, travel with the band, go on road trips with his wife Ann, and took special joy in sharing his knowledge with everyone.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Michenna Adams of Hughesville; a brother, Rob Adams (Debbie) of California, MO; and his mother-in-law, Carolyn Rees of Sedalia.

Mike was preceded in death by a son, Jordan Michael Adams; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Maebelle Tomlinson; and paternal grandparents, David and Viola Adams.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2020 at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Guffey officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Friends may come by Rea Funeral Chapel between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening to sign the guest register book.

Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, MO.

Pallbearers will be Dave Bergman, Gary Ballard, Clay Clear, JR Kenyon, Rob Rialti, John Rooks.

Honorary bearers will be Lawrence Cooper and Mathew Kidder.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
