Obituary For Michael Frazier

Michael Fitzgerald Frazier, 52, of Sedalia, MO passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on December 8, 1963 in Sedalia, the son of Virgil Frazier and Louella Smith, who preceded him in death.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Sedalia. He worked at Waterloo Industry and Rival Manufacturing and was also a handy man for several people in the Sedalia area. Mike enjoyed to take things apart and put them back together. He loved to decorate for the holiday seasons; cook and bar-b-que and especially loved to spend time with his family, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mike lived most all of his life in Sedalia.

Survivors include six children, Atiya Stevens of Tennessee, NaStacia Poindexter of Sedalia, Derrick Clay of Sedalia, Preston Poindexter of Sedalia, Darrius Jackson of Cedar Rapids, IA and Michael J. Frazier of Ft. Riley, KS; five grandchildren, Jade, Kionna, Amani, Lil' Derrick and NaTia; four sisters, Joyce Frazier of Columbia, MO, Diane Maupins of Sedalia, Connie Hankins of Sedalia and Teresa Frazier (Donnie) of Sedalia; two brothers, Harold Frazier (Estella) of Sedalia and Darryl Frazier of Sedalia; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded by a special niece, Ebony Maupins; his maternal grandparents, James and Viola Smith; and paternal grandparents, Finis and Katy Frazier.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday March 19, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Sedalia, with his cousin Todd Cannon officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at a later date at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Trafton Frazier, Gordon Poindexter, Christopher Ford, David Buckner, David Boggs and John Maupins.

Honorary bearers will be William Thornton, Urice Quinn, Donnie Boggs, William Staten, Troy Maupins, David Maupins and Keshawn Jones.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
