Merline Faith Lyn-Sue

Merline Faith Lyn-Sue (Powell), 83, of Sedalia, MO passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2021 at E.W. Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Jamaica on October 20, 1937, to Bernard and Enid Powell (Neil).

Merline was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and making jewelry. She was an incredibly strong, selfless, and Godly woman who lived by her strong faith. She left a legacy to her family and friends of God’s love and grace!

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Azan (Nohaud) and a son, Richard Lyn-Sue (Teresa); six grandchildren, Natalie Arora (Amit), William Lyn-Sue, Michael Lyn-Sue (Chevanese), Kevin Lyn-Sue, Amanda Azan, Lauren Azan; three great-grandchildren, Sage, Luke and Dylan; brother, George Powell; sister, Norma Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Lyn-Sue; brother, Frank Powell; and sister, Violet Stewart.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 11th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO.

A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
