Obituary For Melody Kay Ream

Melody Kay Ream, 46, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, MO. She was born on February 10, 1975, in Sedalia, the daughter of Larry N. Hill and Linda Kay (Summers) Hill, who reside in Clinton, MO.

On May 20, 2006, in Green Ridge, MO, she was united in marriage to Larry Ream, who resides in the home.

Melody was a 1993 graduate of Green Ridge High School. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Melody enjoyed RV traveling, driving backcountry roads to see what was around the corner. She always loved a good adventure. Melody prided herself in the healthcare industry. She trained as a paramedic on an ambulance early on then later worked in the retail setting selling medical equipment. Melody especially loved spending time with her family and pets "Furball" and "Shadow" who gave her hours of enjoyment.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by four children, Mark Ream (Lindsay) of Sedalia, Katherine Romantsov (Max) of Sedalia, Phillip Ream of Sedalia, and Jo Ream of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; and three grandchildren, Jayce, Avin, and Yelayna.

Graveside service and burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2021, at Crown Hill Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Streit officiating.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Ream, Mark Ream, Max Romantsov, and Mike Zeisset.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Heartland Chapter in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

    I was fortunate to know Melody. She was a great coworker, a team player, and always had a smile. So sorry to hear of her passing. Melody certainly loved her family. I know she will be missed by many.

    Melody was my shadow in the church youth group. We shared a tent when camping, canoeing and cookouts. As adults, we spent hours on the phone. I loved her and I will miss my friend. Love you Mel
