Obituary For Mary Lucille Bloess
Mary Lucille R. Bloess, 95, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Hospital, Sedalia.
She was born October 28, 1925, near Dexter, MO, daughter of Willis L. and Lorene (Dawson) Ramsey.
Mary grew up in Parma, MO, and graduated from Parma High School. She also graduated from Lindenwood College in St. Charles, MO, and attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church and for many years of Sorosis and the Sedalia Country Club. Mary was a Girl Scout Leader and for several years worked for the Sedalia School District.
Survivors include two sons, John Randall Bloess (Debbie) of Warsaw, MO, and Thomas Ramsey Bloess (Lori) of Springfield, MO; a daughter, Anne Bloess Tennison (Jeff) of Raymore, MO; and seven grandchildren, Brian Bloess (Alisa), Amy Grace (Taylor), Jenny Greene (Bobby), Aaron Bloess (Megan), Amber Stone (Ben), Brad Tennison, Sarah Fordyce (Ryan); and numerous great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, W.L. Ramsey Jr. of New Madrid, MO, and Randall Ramsey of Parma, MO; one sister, Betty L. (Ramsey) Spence of Kirkwood, MO.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Crown Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Anne Kyle officiating.
Pallbearers will be Brian Bloess, Aaron Bloess, Taylor Grace, Ben Stone, Bobby Greene, Ryan Fordyce.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Brad Tennison.
There will be no visitation, friends may call at Rea Funeral Chapel. The families suggest contributions to Calvary Episcopal Church, or The Cedar Hill Scholarship Fund with the Sedalia School District Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
