Mary Holbert

Mary L. Holbert, 60, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 30th, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 13, 1956 in Sedalia, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Vanderpool) Carver, who preceded her in death.

On October 6, 2007, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Donald R. Holbert, who survives of the home.

Mary loved crocheting, reading, watching TV, fishing, playing canasta, and going camping. She dearly loved her grandchildren and all of her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Besides her husband, she is survived by six children, Mildred Holbert of Sedalia, James Price (Brandy) of Stover, MO, Keith Holbert (Kris) of Belton, MO, Theresa Bowie of St. Louis, MO, Barbara Aslin (Joe) of La Monte, MO, and Robert Harrison (Madalyn) of Warsaw, MO; twenty-six grandchildren; and twenty-six great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Justice; a brother, Dennis Morgan; a grandson, Joshua Holbert; and a great granddaughter, Angel Ray Corwin.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Bishop Anthony Beard officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Special Olympics.
