Obituary For Mary Cameron

Mary Luella Cameron, 85, of Sedalia passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. She was born on June 8, 1928 in Kansas City, KS, a daughter of Vernon Elvin and Josephine Isabell (Penn) Gilliland, who preceded her in death.

In September of 1946 she was united in marriage to Elmer Earl Bradley who preceded her in death in 1986. On October 7, 1950 in Huntsville, AR, she was united in marriage to Frank J. Cameron who preceded her in death on July 17, 2002. Her companion, Frank Ellis, survives of the home.

Mary was a 1945 graduate of Argentine High School, Kansas City, KS. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, crocheting, and square dancing. She worked at the International Shoe Factory in Windsor, MO and was a member of the Shoe Workers Union.

She is survived by three children, Ron Cameron of Sedalia, Earl Cameron (Barbara) of Bonner Springs, KS, Sharon Wilbers of Olathe, KS; eleven grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by her long-time friend, Gina Devlin of Sedalia.

She was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Norma Joann Finazzo; her infant daughter, Amy Jo Bradley; and one sister, Zona M. Gilliland.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 30, 2013, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Rev. Sid Mabry officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Ian Cameron, Nathan Cameron, Andy Wilbers, Ben Wilbers, Melanie Powers, and Mike Powers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Kansas City Hospice House in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
