Obituary For Mark Dillon

Mark Duane Dillon, 56, of Knob Noster passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. He was born on March 22, 1961 in Findlay, OH. He is the son of Eldon Carl Dillon, who preceded him in death and Janice Faye (St. Meyer) Dillon, who resides in Bettsville, OH.

On April 12, 1986 in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Patricia D. Ransdell who resides of the home.

Mark served his country honorably as a member of Security Forces in the United States Air Force for 22 years. Mark retired with the rank of TSgt in 2005 from Whiteman Air Force Base. He was an avid life long fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, golfing, and cooking. Two of his proudest moments in life were bowling a 300 game and making a hole in one on a par 3. The joy of his life was spending his time with his grand babies.

In addition to his wife Trish, his mother and step father, Pete True, he is survived by two sons, Christopher J. Slater (Emily) of Lee's Summit, and Jeffrey M. Dillon of Knob Noster; two grandchildren, Alyah Bodenhamer and Brodie Slater; two sisters, Kim Sorg (Mark) and Dawn Jordan all of OH; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Duane Duchesne officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Full military honors will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville by VFW Post#2591 and Whiteman Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Honorary bearers will be Bobby Bonk, John Force, Paul Force, Shaun Sim, and Jackie Curry.

Memorial contributions may be made to Missouri Veterans Home, Warrensburg in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
