Obituary For Marjorie Lynn Sipe

Marjorie Lynn Sipe, 61, of Sedalia passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO. She was born on July 19, 1958 in Sedalia, MO the daughter of Donald Steen and Janet (Ragar) Steen.

On April 13, 1984 in Baton Rouge, LA she was united in marriage to Scott Allen Sipe, who resides in the home.

At the time of her passing, Marjorie was on the faculty of State Fair Community College. She was an instructor of music and piano. Prior to that she had served as accompanist for the Smith Cotton High School show choirs. She was a highly gifted teacher of piano, and over forty years had taught hundreds of children and adults. She was deeply committed to her Savior and serving alongside her husband in various churches and para-church ministries over almost four decades. She loved to read, visit with friends, and was always on the lookout for a new antique store to search through with her husband.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by a daughter, Angela Leah Sipe of Columbia, MO; a brother, Steven Steen of Concordia, MO; her aunt, Myrna Ragar of Sedalia; and aunt & uncle Linda and Dick Hill of Cape Girardeau, MO.

In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her uncle Stan Ragar, uncle Wayne Ragar, and aunt Shirley Bergmann.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Satterwhite officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the chapel.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Randy Melick, Randy Cate, Cayle Yonce, Michael Sproles, Brian Steen, and Cord Cochran.

Honorary pallbearer will be Steven Steen.

Memorial contributions are suggested to City Union Mission in Kansas City, MO in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
