Marilyn Jo (Cotner) McMullin, 80, of Sedalia passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. She was born on September 27, 1935 in Lexington, Oklahoma the daughter of Robert Charlie and Ruby Mae (Wilkey) Faulkenberry, who preceded her in death.
On October 19, 1953 in Purcell, OK, she was united in marriage to Roy James Cotner who preceded her in death on November 14, 2006 and on January 12, 2008 in Sedalia she was united in marriage to John Earl McMullin who survives of the home.
Marilyn attended Calvary Baptist Church, Sedalia. She enjoyed going to the Tuesday morning studies at the Reed Center apartment recreation center, loved reading, collecting angel figurines, dolls, and cooking her famous coconut cream pies. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her husband John, she is also survived by two daughters, Lynda Rohr (George) of Smithton and June Snapp (Jaret) of Smithton; a son Robert Lynn Seabolt-Cotner (Ray) of Oklahoma City, OK; four step sons, James Lee Cotner Phillips (Lyda) of Broken Bow, OK, Delbert Cotner Phillips (Patricia) of Shawnee, OK, Steve McMullin (Diane) of Sedalia, and Stuart McMullin of Parkville, MO; three step daughters, Christine Siminski (Rich) of Seneca, NY, Shelly Miller of North Kansas City, MO, Sonia Setzer (Duane) of Sedalia; four brother and two sisters; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; six step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and first husband Roy, she was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ted Francis officiating.
Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016 at the funeral chapel.
Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Florence, MO.
Pallbearers will be Richard Rohr, Matthew Rohr, Ryan Rohr, Trenton Snapp, Colby Snapp and Raymond Seabolt-Cotner.
Honorary bearers will be granddaughters, Alisha Huddleston, Chelsie Snapp, Tiarra Snapp.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
