Obituary For Marie Ball

Marie Hope Ball, 17, of La Monte, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 25, 2000, in Marshall, MO, the daughter of David and Pamela (Hall) Ball, who reside of the home.

Marie was active in her school at La Monte High School. She enjoyed being in school plays and hanging out with her friends and staff at the Boys and Girls Club after school program. She enjoyed playing basketball and softball and would like to go swimming any chance she could. Nothing made her more happy than to splash and chase her friends in the pool. True to her creative and adventurous nature she loved to let her imagination run wild while watching shows on t.v. like The Flash and Once Upon a Time with her family. Marie could often be found bobbing her head and singing to her favorite music. While she loved her worship music she also loved to brag about how she knew every Justin Bieber song. Marie lived life to the fullest and loved a good laugh. She always had a joke to tell and a funny story. She was always the type of person who wanted everyone around her to be okay and happy. Her silly banter and non stop jokes always had people smiling and laughing as if there wasn't a care in the world. Marie loved going to church and was always eager to help with the children's classes or any job that was at hand. She was a firm believer in God's love and worshiped Him with all her heart. She always looked forward to attending church camp each summer. She used her camp time to the fullest by participating in float trips down the river, horseback riding, and flirting with boys. Even though she was a girly girl she wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty. She hoped to one day be a beautician. She would practice her skills on anyone who was willing to sacrifice their scalp. Her love for her family and two dogs could be seen on a daily basis. Any chance she could she loved to put on makeup and fix up her hair with her sister, Kilee, then she would turn around and wrestle with her brother, Brison, trying to prove how tough she was. She loved to brag about the shopping excursions and great deals she would find while with her mom, then she would fill you in on all the episodes of the Flash that she would watch with her dad. She was always ready to have a big family meal with all her extended family every chance she could get. She touched so many lives with her encouraging attitude. Her sweet smile will never be forgotten.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Brison Ball of Sedalia; a sister, Kilee Ball of Sedalia; maternal grandmother, Barbara Hall of Cole Camp; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Bonnie Ball of Houstonia; paternal step-great grandmother, Martha Tuggle of Sedalia; six uncles, Roy Hall (Candy) of Sedalia, Logan Patrick (Kristen) of Sedalia, John Ball of Jefferson City, Joe Arnold (Julie) of La Monte, Andrew Arnold of Houstonia, and Ben Arnold (Heather) of Concordia; an aunt, Rhonda Morrill (Toby) of Windsor.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Roy Michael Hall; her maternal great grandparents, Roy and Mildred Hall, Alvin and Sadie McBryar; paternal great grandparents, Deforest and Doris Ball, Daniel and Allison Tuggle; two uncles, Christopher and Logan Ball.
