Obituary For Marian Louise Anderson
Marian Louise Anderson, 91, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. She was born on March 8, 1932, in Spring Valley, MN, the daughter of Walter C. Rehorst and Olive M. (Nagel) Rehorst, who preceded her in death.
Marian was a member of New Bethel United Methodist Church. She was baptized in 1932 and confirmed in 1945 in Spring Valley, Minnesota. Marian was a member of the United Methodist Women. Marian was a great seamstress. She made most of her children's clothes. Marian enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include four children, Shelley Miller (Allen) of Sedalia, Diana Vorhees of Sedalia, Scott Vorhees (Angela) of Jefferson City, and Reese Anderson of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Tammi, Shannon, Sasha, Briony, Riley, and Avery; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by a sister, Sherrill Lee, and three brothers, Don Rehorst, Rodney Rehorst, and Paul Rehorst.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Dennis Harper officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
The burial will be at New Bethel Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will be Scott Vorhees, Reese Anderson, Allen Miller, Garry Bartley, Brent Hudson, and Briony Hogg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Bethel United Methodist Church in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
