Margaret K. "Kathie" Mullins, 65, of La Monte, MO, formerly of Marshall, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born on February 26, 1958, in Maryville, MO, the daughter of James Floyd Williams, Sr., and Juanita F. (Craft) Williams, who preceded her in death.
On June 28, 1975, in Marshall, MO, she was united in marriage to William "Bill" E. Mullins, who preceded her in death on November 15, 2013.
Kathie worked as a Direct Nurses Assistant for the Marshall Habilitation Center in Marshall, MO, for 26 years, retiring in 2006. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Marshall, MO, and was currently a member of LifePointe Church, Sedalia. Kathie was a volunteer board member of the La Monte Community Fire Department. Kathie enjoyed crafting and going to the dirt track races in Sweet Springs, MO, where she worked as a ticket box clerk since 2007. Kathie was very involved in her church. She volunteered for Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief. She helped with the children's ministry and laundry ministry. In addition, Kathie served in the children's ministry at her church. She enjoyed going to the movies with her movie ministry group from church.
Survivors include two children, Tessie Crutchfield (Ronnie) of Marshall, MO, and Mathaniel Mullins of La Monte, MO; three grandchildren, Ronnie Lucas Crutchfield, Samantha Crutchfield and fiance Chris Johnson, Brandon Crutchfield and fiance Alyssa Crawford; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Dwight Mikels (JoAnn) of Marshall, MO, George Williams of Marshall, MO, James Williams, Jr. (Sheila) of Collins, OK, and Kenneth Williams (Nadiia) of Owasso, OK; a sister-in-law, Marsha Williams of Marshall, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Kathie was preceded in death by a brother, Emmitt Williams; two sisters, Thelma Rae Williams and Nelda Hayes; a niece Jamie Williams; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Williams; and a brother-in-law, Dale Hayes.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023, at LifePointe Church with Pastors Rusty Thomas, Jeff Brandt, Aaron Roberts, and Jan Degoede officiating.
The burial will be held at a later date in Barea Cemetery, Cooper County, MO.
Honorary bearers will be Laura Smith, Kay Hicks, Mary Thomas, Carol Best, Brenda Brandt, Sarah Rea, Joyce and Eddie Saltsgaver, Margie and Butch Murdock, Tim and Heather Murdock, and Nick and Annette Ferolito.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LifePointe Church in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
