Obituary For Mae E. Burgess

Mae Elizabeth Burgess, 81, of Sedalia passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at her home. She was born on November 23, 1936 in Jefferson City, MO the daughter of Vernie Cleo and Julia May (Woods) Clark, who preceded her in death.

In March of 1959 she was united in marriage to Paul Snodgrass, who preceded her in death in July of 1971. On February 14, 1975 in Sedalia she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Lee, who preceded her in death.

Mae was a member of Lifepointe Church in Sedalia. She worked for Rival Manufacturing for 28 years until retiring in 2002. She loved to read, play word search puzzles, taking pictures, flower gardening, being outdoors taking walks, collecting indian and owl memorabilia, her furry four legged friends, and especially loved getting together with family at gatherings.

Survivors include, four daughters, Julia Howe of Sedalia, Diana Atwell of Jefferson City, Nellie Garrett (Victor) of Osceola, MO, and Anita Snodgrass of Sedalia; a son Kelly Snodgrass (Valerie) of Holts Summit, MO; a step son, Andy Lee of Sedalia; thirteen grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; three brothers, Ronnie Clark of Jefferson City, MO, Bernard Clark (Sally) of Holts Summit, MO, and Vernie Gail Clark (Wanda) of Jefferson City, MO; a sister, Addie Parrish (Ralph) of California, MO; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jimmy, Steve, Charlie, and Cleo Clark; a sister Pearl Clark; two great granddaughters, Savanah and Bailey Daniels.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
