Obituary For Lois Nadine Van Buren

Lois Nadine Van Buren, 84, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on November 30, 2022, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born on June 2, 1938, in Corning, IA, the daughter of Arthur Palmer and Gladys Firkins, who preceded her in death.

On September 20, 1959, in Corning, IA., she was united in marriage to Jerry Van Buren, who preceded her in death on March 22, 2012.

Lois graduated from Corning High School in Iowa. She was a military spouse most of her life. She was a member of the New Apostolic Church and the Red Hats.

Lois is survived by her three children, Randall Van Buren and his wife Kristy of Murfreesboro, TN, Jeffrey Van Buren and his wife Shari of McDonough, GA, and Rhonda Clark and her husband Ryan of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Josh, Ashley, Kelsey, Zachary, Tori, Gavin, Michelle, Jon Alan, and Braden; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Shaffroth of Corning, IA, and Beverly Knievel and her husband Terry of Phoenix, AZ, and her friend Bill Collins.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia, with Rick Rehkop officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
