Lois Ellen Larson, 59, of Windsor passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She was born on October 14, 1956 in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of Kenneth Lee Hall Sr. and Georgia Lee Hartley, who preceded her in death.
On June 28, 1975 in Marshall, she was united in marriage to Terry L. Thomas, who preceded her in death on September 5, 2004 and on July 29, 2006 in Calhoun, MO, she was united in marriage to Keith W. Larson, who survives of the home.
Lois Larson had many loves in her life. A few included camping and fishing, photography, bowling and in her younger years... a high school love of softball. Listening to music was a favorite pastime which nurtured her love of dancing. She enjoyed following the Kansas City Chiefs. Watching her roller skating extended family brought her much joy. She adored watching her daughters play soccer from the sidelines and as they grew she coached their teams. She crocheted and cross stitched. She cherished the farm life she shared with her husband, Keith. They had many fine years together. She loved their horses and cattle and farm pets.
Her greatest passion included her family and friends. She unconditionally loved her daughters and their individuality. Her grandkids and great granddaughters were the center of her universe and brought such joy to her life.
Lois was the perfect fit for her job. She loved helping people and was passionate about helping as a CNA/CMT. She impacted many lives in her years of service.
Lois never turned anyone away and her friends were just like family. Her list of children was very long. She was known as Mom or Sis to everyone. She loved whole heartedly and that love was returned by all who knew her. She adored life and lived it to the fullest. Her laughter and smile would brighten any room. Lois was the rock and foundation of her family and friends and will be forever missed.
Besides her husband Keith, she is also survived by two daughters, Angela Barney and her companion Josh Harrison and Sarah Thomas and her companion Jason Uptegrove all of Sedalia; two step-daughters, Jenna Wainwright (Darren) of Holt Summit, MO and Meagan Larson of Windsor, MO; two brothers, Kenneth Lee Hall, Jr. of Sedalia and Donald Hall (Barbara) of Stover, MO; eight grandchildren including Justin Wayne Nash, Jaylla Jennelle Nelson, Jaydon Uptegrove, Grant Semler and Kristen Wainwright; and two great-granddaughters.
Besides her parents and first husband Terry, she was also preceded in death by a brother in infancy.
A celebration of life gathering of friends and family will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
