Linda Joetta McCown

Linda Joetta McCown, 51, of Sedalia, MO, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 18, 2024. She was born on April 13, 1973, in Sedalia, the daughter of Robert Fox, who preceded her in death, and Donna Bishop, who resides in Sedalia.

Linda was a 1991 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She attended State Fair Community College. Linda worked at Waterloo Industries. She enjoyed going shopping with her mom. Linda especially loved spending time with her family and going camping.

In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by two daughters, Erin Norton (Rustin) of Basehor, KS, and Nikki McCown of Sedalia; two sons, Cody Paxton of Sedalia and Korbin McCown of Wisconsin; four grandsons, Eden, Matthew, Easton, and Luka; three sisters, Crystal Hernandez (Carlos) of Sedalia, Teresa Dickson (Jamie) of Sedalia, and Shannon Clutter (Brandon) of Sedalia; her dear friend, Melanie Mullins; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to her father, Linda was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Fox, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Aaron Roberts officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

The burial will be held at a later date in Union Williams Cemetery, Cole Camp, MO.
