Obituary For Linda Jean Rodewald

Linda Jean Rodewald, 70, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia. She was born on April 25, 1948 in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of Kenneth August and LaVerna June (Hizer) Klamert, who preceded her in death.

On May 6, 1966 she was united in marriage to William Howard Rodewald, who preceded her in death on March 1, 1999.

She was a 1965 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Linda was a Christian and believed in her Lord and Savior. She worked as a comptroller for Sedalia Mercantile Bank and Trust and later as a clerk for the Pettis County Circuit Court before retiring in 2013. She enjoyed country and western dancing, genealogy, reading, going to movies, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include, a son Christopher Rodewald and wife Jennifer of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Sarah, Joseph, and Hannah; her fiance, Anthony Mabry of Sedalia; four sisters, Betty Stone of St. Joseph, MO, Mary Rauth and husband Michael of St. Joseph, MO, Carol Kozak and husband Christopher of Springdale, AR, and Janet Wiedmaier and husband Michael of Maysville, MO; five brothers, Robert Klamert of Round Rock, TX, William Klamert and wife Tracy of St. Joseph, MO, James Klamert of Junction City, KS, Kenneth Klamert of Deersville, OH, and John Klamert of Amazonia, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband William and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Brosch.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Kozak, Kyle Kozak, Michael G. Rauth, Aaron Rauth, Michael D. Rauth, and Drew Catron.

Honorary bearers will be her brothers.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Celebration Center in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
