Leah Kathryn Grace, 76, of Sedalia passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia, MO. She was born on February 28, 1941 in Stover, MO the daughter of Eugene Robert and Ruby Frances (Williams) Grace, who have preceded her in death.
Leah was raised and educated in Sedalia and was a 1959 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She worked for Town and Country Shoes, Jensen Manufacturing, Rival Manufacturing, and WILS. Leah enjoyed going thrift store shopping, eating at Kehde's BBQ, rescuing homeless animals, and especially loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Tipton Community Baptist Church and was strong in her faith.
She is survived by six children, Jim (Debbie) Caton of Clarksburg, Kenny Caton of Sedalia, Mark Caton of Independence, Diana Tomlinson of Columbia, Leslie (Chad) Wimer of Sedalia, and Julie (Brian) Tomlinson-Mahalovich of Sedalia; one sister Patty (Melvin) Ficken of Knob Noster; one brother, Charles (Phyllis) Grace of Sedalia; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Grace; a grandson, Bryce Reed Johnson; and her companion of many years, Wayne Arnold.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 17, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Melvin Ficken officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral chapel.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Bill Caton, Bobby Caton, Matt Coons, Brandon Plummer, Chad Wimer, and Brian Mahalovich.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
