Lawrence Haecherl

Lawrence A. Haecherl, 79, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on March 26, 1937 in Lisborn, North Dakota, the son of John and Bertha Catoor Haecherl, who preceded him in death.

Lawrence was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the American Legion, and the VFW Auxiliary. He was a 1956 graduate of Geneseo High School. He retired from Navistar International in 1993 after 33 years of service. He enjoyed playing cards, watching Western movies, going to church, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include six children, John Haecherl (MaryJane) of Indianapolis, IN, Sheila Heeren of Sterling, IL, James Haecherl (Bridget) of New Carlisle, OH, Michelle Hannah of Sedalia, MO, Paul Haecherl of Puyallup, WA, and Jo Moore of Davenport, IA; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Peter Alan Haecherl.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Ftr. Mark Miller officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the chapel.

Burial will be at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Lisbon, North Dakota.
