Lawrence Dean

Lawrence Dean "Papa" 64, of Sedalia, formerly of Chicago, Illinois passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born October 9, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. The son of John F. and Mabel Dean, who both have preceded him in death.

Lawrence met and married Yvonne Woods on April 15, 1972. To this union, 5 children, Annie, Felisa, Lucinda, Laurense and Angela.

Lawrence found Christ at The church of Jesus Christ. He worked at Brach's Candy Factory. Lawrence enjoyed sp...ending time with his family, cooking, and especially fishing. He loved walking his dog Toby (only son). He lived and loved life to its fullest, always chasing and running around tickling his family.

Lawrence leaves to cherish his precious memories to his wife, Yvonne Dean; five daughters, Annie, Felisa (Jaye), Lucinda, Laurense, Angela (Tony); his grandkids, Lacreasha, Shalonda, Kelvyn, Shanterrie, Kalonda, Mark, Shawonda, Brandon, Jerry, Desiree, Jerrion, Arnesha, Maurice, Desmond, Malik, De'jah; his siblings, John, Kenneth, Carlos, Albert, Carol, Eric and Janice.

He leaves love a host of great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by eight siblings, James, Marion, Edwin, Melvin, Carl, Bobby, Howard, and Dewight; son-in-law, Jerry (Pooh Pooh).

On Tuesday, February 16, 2016 a Memorial service will be held from Noon until 2:00 pm at Burns Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 207 East Pettis, Sedalia, Missouri.

Repass will follow, from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at Lincoln-Hubbard Apartments, Sedalia.
