Larry E. Washington, 70 of Sedalia, MO passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 25, 1946 in Sedalia, a son of Ophelia (Washington) Riley and William Cason; and stepfather, Jesse Riley, all who preceded in death. Larry enjoyed going to church and western movies. He especially loved family gatherings and spending time with his friends. Larry served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by four sons, Darrell Parker of Texas, Larry Washington, Jr. of Sedalia, Carliza Quinn of Sedalia and Paul Gay of Marshall; two daughters, Mary Washington of Los Angeles, CA and Jeanne Henderson also of California, five brothers, Freddie Washington of California, William Cason, Jr. of Benson, AZ, Daniel Cason of Denver, CO, Charles Cason of Palm Coast, FL and Paul Cason of Kansas City; eleven sisters, Carolyn Baker of Sedalia, Jessica Morse of Sedalia, Linda London of Las Vegas, NV, Jackie Cason of Sedalia, Ruth Ivy of Sedalia, Katy Cason of Sedalia, Stephanie Mitchell of Sedalia, Patricia Knight of Wichita, KS, Sarah Cason of Kansas City, Rita Jones of St. Louis; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Diane Washington and brother-in-law, Jerel Byrd both of California; and a host of nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Opheila "Mickey" Washington, Undra Nuwso and Gloria "Maxine" Byrd; and one brother, Randall Cason. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Ward Memorial with Rev. Williams officiating. Burial will follow service at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia. Urn bearer will be Darrell Parker. The VFW Post 2591, Sedalia and Army National Guard, Warrensburg will conduct military honors at graveside. The family suggests memorial contributions to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
