Obituary For Larry Knox

Larry Charles Knox, 65, of Hughesville passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at his home in Warsaw, MO. He was born on December 13, 1951 in Mountain Home, AR the son of Charles Oliver Knox, who preceded him in death and Doris Madaline (Whiting) Stanley, who resides in Sedalia.

On April 20, 1973 at Marshall Junction, MO, he was united in marriage to Linda Diane Alexander, who preceded him in death on October 31, 1997.

Larry was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. He worked at Duke Manufacturing in Sedalia for 37 years. He loved to farm, hunt, fish, play pool and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Amanda Moore and her husband Jason; a son, Jason Knox and his wife Caroline all of Hughesville, MO; four grandchildren, Khale, Maggie, Colton, and Bode; two sisters, Micki Williams and her husband Donnie of Smithton, and Karen Gamber and her husband Tracey of Stover.

A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at First Christian Church, Sedalia with Rev. Dr. Chad McMullin officiating.

The family will receive friends and family Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at First Christian Church.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Gene Weller, Gary Richardson, Earl Rasa, Mike Chambers, Shane Chambers and Doug Wirt. Honorary bearers will be Skip Bay, Ronnie Smith, Jerry Smith, Brian Gamber, Tracey Gamber, Doug Tilman and Harold Smith.

Memorial contributions are suggested to New Salem Baptist Church, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
