Larry J. Hill, 73, of Sedalia passed away December 17, 2017 at his home in Sedalia. He was born in June 1944 in Sedalia the son of Harold L. and Ruth M. Hill, who preceded him in death.
On August 2, 1980 in Sedalia he was united in marriage to Linda L. Groose, who resides of the home.
Larry was a 1962 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of Sedalia VFW Post #2591 and American Legion Post #642. Larry worked for his family business as the Business Manager for Hill Construction. He owned and operated LLH Enterprises along with his wife Linda. He later worked for WCA in Sedalia, retiring in 2016. Larry enjoyed working and collecting old cars.
In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by a son, Kevin Wayne Hill of Nixa, MO; three daughters April Lynn Eskins of Hurricane, WV; Connie Slaughter of Longwood, MO and Victoria Long of Sedalia; a brother David A. Hill (Sharon) of Sedalia; a sister Linda L. Cook (John) of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren, Emerald, Annabelle, Crystal, Coby, Cameron, Jacob, Justin, and James; two nieces and a nephew.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday December 29, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Heintzelman officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Open Door Ministries in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
