Obituary For Kim E Toliver

Kim E. (Kanak) Toliver, 64, of Hughesville, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at her home. She was born on April 16, 1954 in Elsworth, KS, the daughter of Alois S. and Marlene (McGuire) Kanak, who preceded her in death.

In 1965 her family moved to a small farm south of Cole Camp, MO. Kim was baptized on June 4, 1967 by Rev. Arlyn D Saathoff at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. One year later on June 2, 1968 she affirmed her baptismal vows and was confirmed. On June 29, 1972 in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Thomas G. Toliver, who resides of the home.

Kim was a 1972 graduate of Cole Camp High School. She was a member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Cole Camp, MO. She worked at Kim Originals and for Fantasia Foods, in Sedalia, for 21 years until they closed in 2008.

In addition to her husband Thomas, she is survived by two sons, Caleb Toliver of the home, Lucas Toliver and his wife Patricia of Lexington, MO; a daughter Jessica Krause and her husband Brian, of Terra Haute, IN.; nine grandchildren; a great granddaughter; two brothers, Stephen Kanak of Blue Springs, MO, and Mark Kanak of Lincoln, MO.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Jason Toliver; a brother, Shawn Kanak; and step-father Clyde Norris.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sandy Schlesselman officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
