Obituary For Kathryn "Kate" Perry

Kathryn "Kate" (Moon) Perry, 67, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born on November 17, 1954 in Sedalia, the daughter of Clarence Andrew Moon Jr. and Charlotte Ann (Wiemholt) Moon, who preceded her in death.

Kate was a I973 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She received her Associate of Arts Degree in Fashion Merchandising from Northern Michigan University. She was passionate about design. Kate could take a pile of trash and turn it into a quirky yet amazing piece of art. She loved to read books, play cards, and rummage through area garage sales in the spring. Her nieces and nephews were very special to her; she attended their birthday parties, sporting events, plays, and concerts frequently. Kate's smile and hugs will be greatly missed.

Survivors include three sisters, Pam Ballard and her husband Gary of Sedalia, Becky Cantrell and her husband Jeff of Windsor, and Lisa Tagtmeyer and her husband Derick of Overland Park, KS; two brothers, Tony Moon of Sedalia, and Pat Moon and his wife Lisa of Sedalia; numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
