Karen Leona Overton, 55, of Sedalia passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at her home. She was born on October 23, 1960 in Colorado Springs, Colorado the daughter of Robert and Betty (Ferree) Overton, who preceded her in death.
She worked at Waterloo Industries for 25 years. After retiring, she open Retrospect a clothing boutique and antique store. At the time of her passing, she worked at Trans-Continental Packing in Clinton, MO. Karen enjoyed hot air ballooning, spending time with her grandchildren and friends. She was a member of Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church in Sedalia and lived most of her life in Sedalia.
Survivors include two sons, Rusty Ream and his wife April, Chris Ream and his wife Casandra; a daughter Kara Ream and her fiance Steve Woolsey all of Sedalia; seven grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jazmine, Marilyn, Brock, Alyssa, Brayden and Lily; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Becky Hudson of LaMonte, and Judy Dixon of Norwalk, IA.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Overton.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 Sunday April 17, 2016 at Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Carl Gauck officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Private burial will be at a later date in Laurel Oak Cemetery in Windsor, MO.
Pallbearers will be Rusty and Chris Ream, Steve Woolsey, Randy and Michael Hudson, Zachary Overton and Steve Curtis.
Memorial contributions may be made to Show-Me-Christian Youth Home in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
