Obituary For June Marie Lamb Parks

June Marie Lamb Parks, 86, of Sedalia, MO passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Rest Haven Convalescent Home. She was born on June 18, 1934 in Lincoln, MO the daughter of Walter Purdy and Mary Mable (Weaver) Purdy, who preceded her in death.

On February 16, 1952 in Stover, MO she was united in marriage to Frank Andrew Lamb who preceded her in death on November 3, 1979. On October 10, 1981 in Sedalia she was united in marriage to Irvin Parks who preceded her in death on December 30, 2013.

June was a member of the First United Methodist Church Celebration Center. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, collecting bells and angels memorabilia.

Survivors include a son, Steve Lamb (Deborah) and a daughter Janet David (Randy) all of Sedalia; a sister, Joan Sidebottom (Larry) of Versailles, MO; two brothers, John Purdy (June) of Blackburn, MO and Jesse Purdy of Higginsville, MO; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver Purdy; and a daughter, Carolyn Bolar.

Funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Downing officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Steven Lamb, Timothy Lamb, Matthew Bolar, Andrew Bolar, Ian Buchanan, and Kyle Spencer.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Celebration Center or the American Heart Association.
