Judy Ann Newell

Judy Ann Newell, 81, of Sedalia passed away January 5, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 10, 1940 in Eau Claire, WI the daughter of Ralph W. Huggins Sr. and Adell R. (Lindsley) Huggins, who preceded her in death.

On August 26, 1956 in Pilot Grove, MO she was united in marriage to Clarence E. Newell, who preceded her in death on September 6, 2015. They spent 62 years together making memories with their children.

Judy was a very devoted wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma, lovingly known as GiGi/Gia. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, cooking for her family, playing upwards and cards with her grandchildren (which she cheated at). Judy especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandbabies.

Survivors include two sons, Ron Newell and his wife Donna of Sedalia, Don Newell and his wife Janet of Ava, MO; four daughters, Cindy Reid and her husband Jim of Houstonia, Sheryl Williams of Sedalia, Karen Young and her husband David of Otterville, and Barb Giddens and her husband Jeff of Locust Grove, GA; 27 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Huggins, Terry Huggins, and Carl Waller; a sister, Connie Goffinet; two sisters-in-law and dear friends, Karen Huggins and Joyce Huggins; and close friend, Marilyn Yokum.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Huggins, Gary Huggins, and Chuck Huggins; and three sisters, Loretta Kurth, Willetta Nyseth, and Rosemary Huggins.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Anstine officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial of the ashes will be held at a later date in Pilot Grove Cemetery.

Urn bearers will be her sons, Ron and Don Newell.
