Obituary For Joyce Vaughan

Joyce Ingrid Vaughan, 67, of Sedalia passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia. She was born on August 25, 1949 in Kenosha, Wisconsin the daughter of Eugene Anthony and Wauneta June (Tucker) Metzner, who preceded her in death.

On May 7, 1971 in Cole Camp, MO, she was united in marriage to Eddie R. Vaughan, who survives of the home.

Joyce worked as a Para Professional for the Sedalia 200 School District for many years. Her true passion in life was to make sure all children had their essential needs provided. She loved to crochet baby afghans for family and friends. Joyce enjoyed her facebook friends, neighbors, playing computer games, sudoku and was a great cook.

In addition to her husband Ed, she is survived by three children, Kristofer Vaughan of Alexandria, VA, Keri Talbott of Sedalia, and Kory Vaughan (Janice) of Houstonia; five grandchildren, Zachary Vaughan, Tyler and Alyson Talbott, Grayson and Kaylee Vaughan; two sisters, Jackie Aldridge of Sedalia, and Judy Pufahl of Sierra Vista, AZ; two brothers, John Metzner (Sheri) of LaMonte, and Jerry Metzner (Leila) of Cole Camp; many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel.

Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Hickman Cemetery, Clarksburg, MO.

Memorial contributions suggested to a charity of the donor's choice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
