Obituary For Joyce Jane Hall

Joyce Jane Hall passed away at home on January 21, 2022. She was surrounded by those she loved. Joyce was born on March 4th, 1941 in Macks Creek, MO to Sally and Earl Hack, who preceded her in death.

When she was a small girl they moved to the Windsor/Calhoun area. Joyce attended all her schooling in Windsor, graduating in the Spring of 1959.

It was 2 years prior to graduation, in 1957 that she met the man she would one day marry. Joyce met Jim while he was stationed at Whiteman AFB and working part time at a gas station in Windsor. At the time Joyce worked at the McMillin Drug Store in Windsor. After dating for two years they were united in marriage on December the 24th,1959 in the same small town they had first met.

The couple spent many years traveling around the country, during the years Jim was in the service. Joyce was a dedicated military spouse. In April 1977, Joyce and Jim moved to Sedalia, MO with their daughters to be closer to her parents. Her siblings also lived in the area and she loved being with her family. Joyce worked at a few local businesses, including ACR in where her husband was co-owner.

During her life, she devoted herself to her home and family. Joyce loved to travel with her husband, and then their whole family later in life. Often you would find her in the kitchen, as she loved to cook and collected many recipes over the years. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 62 years Jim Hall; two daughters, Valerie Corpe (Tony) of Sedalia, Sandy LuAllen (John) of Lee’s Summit; five grandchildren, Kelcie Olson of Sedalia, Kaylie Schmutz of Overland Park KS, Cameron LuAllen and Caleb LuAllen both of Lee's Summit, and Patrick (PJ) Allred of Sedalia; four great grand-children, Emma Garrigus, Alexis Torch, Peyton Olson, and Olivia Olson, all of Sedalia.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by two sisters, Patti Jo and Phyllis; a brother, Chris; and three infant siblings, one was a set of twins.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends at a later date.

Burial of ashes will be in Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
